British Society for Oral Medicine Winter Meeting – 5th December 2015 – Liverpool
This years’ BSOM Winter meeting promises an exciting and varied programme of talks.
There will be a “multidisciplinary team working” theme: patients treated on the Oral Medicine clinics often have complex problems requiring input from various specialities and we aim to reflect that in this years’ programme.
We are delighted to welcome Dr Pauline Adair, Director of Behavioural Medicine and Principal Knowledge Exchange Fellow in the School of Psychological Sciences and Health at Strathclyde University, to speak to us about Psychology related to Oral Health and her experience with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Undergraduates are warmly invited to attend this event to further their Oral Medicine knowledge and explore this fascinating speciality. You are encouraged to submit an abstract to present completed projects or interesting cases encountered during your undergraduate training. Please do not hesitate to contact the organisers for guidance.
The Foresight Centre, Liverpool , L69 3GL– on the corner of Pembroke Place/Brownlow Street
The centre is housed within one of the city’s most impressive Grade II listed buildings of great architectural significance, formerly the Royal Liverpool Infirmary. The Foresight Centre is the premier business conference and meeting facility of Merseyside.
Abstracts and Prizes
Abstracts are invited for presentation of cases or projects that have involved collaboration with colleagues in other specialities; for example, other dental specialities, pathology, dermatology, rheumatology or ophthalmology.
We encourage abstracts for which the presentation will be given jointly by juniors from different specialities, in the aim of promoting collaborations; however, this is not a requirement. Abstracts must be submitted on the Winter Meeting abstract form, which can be downloaded from the website.
The “BSOM Undergraduate Oral Presentation Prize” and the “BSOM Winter Meeting Oral Presentation Prize” will be awarded to the best presenter in each category. See the BSOM Prize regulations for further information.
