MEETINGS
BSOM Annual Meeting
The BSOM Annual Meeting is held over two days in April or May. In recent years the
format has included educational sessions as part of Continuing Professional Development
(CPD) and both oral and poster scientific communications. The Annual General Meeting takes
place during the conference. The Meeting dinner always proves a popular event.

Aside from the formal elements of the meetings, this is a great opportunity to meet and mix
with other clinicians interested in Oral Medicine. Those who attend are very at different stages
of their careers and include dental students, dentists, medical students and specialist registrars
training to be Consultants in Oral Medicine.
BSOM Council members attend the meetings to support the Group, answer individual
queries and listen to the issues concerning the group members.
Group meetings have been free to BSOM members due to the generous support of the Society.
Attendance at Group meetings counts towards the GDC’s requirement for verifiable CPD.
