JUNIORS GROUP |

The Juniors Group actively promotes the Society aims amongst any members who are |
|
OO• Junior dentists considering a career in Oral Medicine, |
|
OO• Graduate clinicians who are undertaking a second undergraduate clinical degree (either |
|
.....OMedicine or Dentistry) so that they can compete for a specialist training post in Oral Medicine |
|
OO• Fellows-in-Training. |
|
The Group is inclusive and Society members with established careers in Oral Medicine also |
|
regularly contribute to the Groups activities. |
|
The Groups activities are coordinated by the Fellow-in-Training Representative. |
|
|
|
This is currently Dr. Anne Hegarty, Specialist Registrar in Oral Medicine at the Eastman Dental |
|
|
|
The responsibilities of the Fellow-in-Training Representative include: |
|
O• Representing the Groups views at BSOM Council & communicating back to Group members |
|
O• Organising the Group Meetings, as described below. |
|
O• Acting as point of contact to Group members or those interested in joining. |

Group Meetings |

The Group formally meets twice a year. The first of these meetings is timed to coincide with |

O• Clinical updates from Fellows of the Society and specialists from other clinical areas. |
